Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Birthday Party

Every year we vow not to do anything crazy and every year we find ourselves up at 2am the night before the party. This year, for Victoria’s Birthday we found ourselves up at 2 am TWICE, in the same week. We’re still not sure if there’s the right way to do it, but after our quick survey research it looks like a school party and a family party is what people do… Two parties it is! At least for now.

This year, we let Victoria pick what she wanted her theme to be, and after some back and forth, she landed on Miraculous. It’s a not too popular cartoon set in Paris and stars a female superhero called Ladybug, and not much decor exists for it. But we were up the the challenge.

First up, the school party. Victoria is our little artist, so we decided to go to Plaster Fun Time. It was a great turn out of 23 friends who came, and everyone had a blast painting. That many kids called for a bigger cake, so Jimmy did pull off a 2 tear cake, and I did end up dipping 50 pretzels stick in chocolate. Victoria loved it!

Next up, was the friends and family birthday party. Home parties are always a bit more involved… between the cooking and the baking, the entertaining and then the cleaning… We realized that maybe we should have had a better plan of how we were going to accomplish it all with 3 kids running around. But somehow it all happened. Jimmy started the crockpot with sauce and meatballs at about 5 am, we decorated the house, and we even stepped into a whole new world of birthday parties… piñatas! But the biggest highlight of the whole birthday was … Victoria’s friend CJ arriving with a huge bouquet of roses for her. In that moment, every single adult was in awe, and Jimmy had a flash forward to teenage years… Oh, boy…

Hard to believe that our little girl is already 6! and a few days ago she lost her first baby tooth. Before we know it, those teenage years will be hear, and prom dates will be knocking on the door. And Jimmy… well, we will just have to wait and see how that goes.

  1. Hi, such a cute Miraculous party. I was wondering where you got the Eiffel Tower backdrop. My grand daughter wants a miraculous birthday party. Thank you.
