Writing your vows… So hard to fit everything you want to say in just a few short sentences. How do you express your love and promise just in that moment. Of course, if words come easy to you and you’re a writer at heart it might roll off your tongue, but but sometimes it can be difficult… Now, picture this, Ryan wrote a poem that was one the readings. This was the most beautiful ceremony we have ever witnesses and just those 10 lines tell it all… the story, the love, the trust, the future.
My Lighthouse
By: Ryan Brissette
Though oceans apart, and space in between
Your words were my lighthouse, my words could be mean
You held us together, although the current did pull
What you’ve done for the empty, is making it full
Through tough times and good, through loss and despair
You stayed there beside me, with the utmost of care
When I thought I was drowning, and the waves wouldn’t end
My Lighthouse you were, like you always have been
So we board this new ship, together departed
My Lighthouse and me, I can’t wait to get started
