Desktop Declutter + free download

A while back Jimmy and I stumbled upon a book by Marie Kondo: The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing.  It was probably one of the best self help books that we have read in a while, just reading it changed our mindset and our life. Marie Kondo came to us at just right the time. Two adults, two kids and one dog, can you imagine how much stuff we have? So now it’s been two months and our home is the most organized it’s ever been!

But for us and possibly many of you, there is one place that seems to compile the most clutter in our home. Though this place isn’t practically large, the amount in which it can hold seems endless. We are talking about your computers desktop. And for us, uploading photos, editing and designing, our desktop was one of those black hole situations. When running a business, organization is key. That feeling of calmness and joy when you walk into your clean home, when you can easily find everything you need. Where everything has its place. That’s the feeling one should have when they sit down at their computer. So to keep us in line we created a template, a desktop organizer that gives us an overview of what we have in the queue. As soon as we sit down we know exactly what we have, how much work, and where our priorities lye. It’s a truly empowered feeling.

Of course there is a lot more organizing you can do on your computer, but hopefully this baby step will point you in the right direction and help you take control. So, here we are going to share our lifesaver, our Photoshop template. The template that keeps us digitally tidy and organized. Use what we have, or edit it to your liking and enjoy!
