7 years later…
If you were to asked me 10 years ago “where do you see yourself in the future?”; two kids, a husband and our own wedding photography business wouldn’t have been my answer. It’s crazy how things never work out as planned and how you have to constantly accommodate all life’s fun little hurdles.
I grew up in Belarus and didn’t move to the US until I was 17. Well that’s when everything started. I attended Middlesex College where I met Jimmy, a native New Englander. From that moment on, our lives began. We then transferred to New England College in New Hampshire and got our first wedding gig. Photographing weddings wasn’t even on the table for us. But when Nastya, a close friend of ours, asked us to shoot her wedding. We felt so honored to be a part of her special day that we couldn’t say no.
This was seven years ago. And let me tell you, after that we never wanted to shoot another wedding again. We were both exhausted, muscles we didn’t know existed were sore and we decided it was a onetime occurrence. We went through Nastya’s photos, made her a wedding album and asked her over to go through them. This was the moment Prudente Photography became real. As Nastya turned the pages of her album, tears flowed down her face. All she could do was tell us how grateful she was that we were able to capture such precious moments. In that instance, a switch was flipped in our heads. We fell in love with this beautiful, expressive piece of art and could never turn back. We just started learning, changing techniques and finding new ways to capture moments that filled our hearts and the hearts of our beautiful couples. Seven years later, Jimmy and I have been married for six years, we have two beautiful daughters that we love unconditionally, and the cutest Frenchie. This is our life and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Beautiful story !
Love your story! You guys are so cute! I love seeing photos of couples from years ago, pre wedding and pre kids 🙂 Gotta dig up ours lol
That’s how we felt after the first wedding too. NEVER AGAIN. Then the clients saw the photos. Then we realized how much we loved the result, even though it was harder than we thought. It was hard to even consider going back to something we didn’t love. It’s addicting! 🙂
(PS: Vitalik was 16 when he moved here from Belarus!)
We are so proud of what you and Jimmy have created, professionally as well as personally. If you had asked us 10 years ago if you would be as successful as you are today we would have said absolutely! Since the day you decided to really pursue all that you loved there was no turning back. It has been so much fun to watch from the sidelines, and now we have a front row seat during wedding season getting to take care of our two beautiful granddaughters! we couldn’t be happier and we are so honored to be along for the ride! We love you both and can’t wait to see what the future has in store!
